Multiple improvements were made on Duplo USA Corporation’s DC-446 while maintaining the basic design and usability of its DC-445 predecessor.

The new DC-446 creaser from Duplo USA Corporation, Santa Ana, California, is a fully automated solution that creases up to 60 sheets per minute and prevents toner cracking and unattractive fold lines on digitally printed documents.

It features approximately a 20 percent increase in speed and now handles a maximum paper width of 330.5mm, a bit over 13″, to accommodate the common 13×19″ sheet size. The maximum creasing capability also has been increased from 15- to 20-creases in a single pass, making it possible to run a wider variety of jobs.

In addition, the DC-446 has changed from a 4-belt to an 8-belt air suction feed system with changeable air blower area for consistent feeding of difficult stocks and weights. A number of options also are available on the DC-446 to suit the demands of digital printers.
