GOA Announces Seminar Lineup

PostPress

Graphics of the Americas (GOA), produced annually by the Printing Association of Florida, released details of its educational program for the 2017 show. Offered in English and Spanish, these sessions have become synonymous with the show’s success. GOA will take place Feb. 16-18, 2017, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The seminars offer in-depth educational content, case studies and actionable insight to help companies make informed decisions for the future. Session tracks span a variety of topics, offering the latest information in the following industry segments: Prepress & Production; Photoshop & Design; Leadership; Adobe Creative Cloud; Sales & Marketing; and Wide Format. A few of the sessions include, but are not limited to:

  • Wide Format: Print & Cut – Done Easy!
    Skip Grant
    Friday, Feb. 17 – 2:30-3:15 p.m.
This is a course designed to help everyone understand all aspects form initial selling, specifying and pricing strategies all the way through production and ending on final installation tips and tricks. People who are developing their shop really like this one as they already know what they can do, but need guidance and enthusiasm in setting it up the right way!
  • Turn Your Old Press into NEW
    Dave Hunter
    Thursday, Feb. 16 – 12:30-1:45 p.m.
The industry is talking about the need to move to a manufacturing environment, not the graphic arts, but a manufacturing facility. What steps can you do to improve the performance in the press room? Closed loop, CIP presets, plate curve, G7, are all terms that are used, but what are the differences? How do I know which one will most benefit my operation? This session will break down each tool and help you determine, which ones might help your operation.
  • OBLIVIOUS: Great Leaders Raise Awareness
    Brent Bauer
    Thursday, Feb. 16 – 12:30-1:45 p.m.
This module will challenge leaders at any level to consider the impact of their own development as leaders on those they endeavor to lead. It will explore the organizational impact of a failure to address blindspots in leadership technique, while providing participants with measures to help them grow in their leadership awareness.
