The HM2™ hot melt sensor from W.H. Leary.

W.H. Leary’s new HM2™ hot melt sensor uses infrared technology to detect glue volume, absence, presence and placement at speeds in excess of 2,150fpm with 0.040″ accuracy.

Used in conjunction with the Array™ line of controllers, the scanner takes a comparison reading between the substrate and hot melt adhesive immediately after application. It is compatible with all Leary controllers and works well with a wide range of hot melt applicators, including the complete Robatech range.
