The new West Coast Training Center in Sante Fe Springs will be inaugurated on November 6–7, 2024, during an open house event showcasing BOBST’s innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology for folding cartons and corrugated packaging.

BOBST, Mex, Switzerland, has announced the November opening of a new state-of-the-art training center to better support customers in the folding carton and corrugated sectors in North America. Located in the heart of California, the West Coast Training Center (WCTC) will provide a comprehensive environment for hands-on learning and skills development. Complementing the new Competence Center in Atlanta, GA, the training facility is designed to empower converters with extensive technical knowledge and deep process knowhow to optimize the performance of their equipment.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Grand Opening of the WCTC in Sante Fe Springs in LA County. As part of BOBST’s ongoing expansion strategy in North America, this investment in training underpins our commitment to supporting customers in a very competitive market, ensuring that they maximize efficiencies with highly equipped staff,” stated Brian Kentopp, Vice President of Sales, Folding Carton and Corrugated. “The center will provide extensive training programs that can be tailored to the individual customer’s needs. These cover everything from operator training and maintenance workshops to machine connectivity, die-making and tooling management to ensure every BOBST machine, every technology solution, is used to its full potential.”

Visitors to the Open House in November will be able to explore how BOBST Connect is providing a digital platform for orchestrating complete end-to-end packaging workflows. In the cutting-edge training room, a NOVACUT 106 ER Autoplaten® die-cutter and a VISIONFOLD 110 A2 folder-gluer with BOBST Connect and TooLink will showcase real-time job recipe management and tool optimization. The connectivity extends to partner equipment like Boxplan, Blanking Systems, and Carton Craft, as well as Express Die Supply in the adjoining die-making area, where visitors will witness seamless data exchange with third-party equipment within the BOBST Connect ecosystem. During the two-day event, customer testimonials and success stories will be shared, while experts will be on hand to answer questions and additional resources like podcasts and tutorials can be accessed.

“At BOBST, we always strive to give our customers all the tools they need to achieve their operational goals and succeed in the marketplace, and that includes a comprehensive training program. As such, the WCTC is the perfect example of how BOBST’s continues to invest in easily accessible solutions that meet the highest standards of excellence,” said Brian Kentopp.
