POLAR Takes Cutting Program Creation to a New Level

        February 19, 2025

Press release submitted on behalf POLAR

POLAR, Hofheim, Germany, is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of Compu-cut®, an innovative automated cutting program creation solution that has been established in the industry for over 30 years. This new version makes programming cutting programs outside of the high-speed cutter even easier and more efficient by completely eliminating programming time on the machine.

Compucut® enables users to automatically create cutting programs from the CIP 3/4 pre-press files with just one mouse click and transfer them di-rectly to a POLAR high-speed cutter. For users, this means zero set-up time at the machine and a significant reduction in waste.

Compucut® offers a configurable user interface that enables the guided creation of cutting programs. The programs can be created according to a recommended or self-selected cutting sequence, whereby all additional functions of the machine are automatically taken into account and pro-grammed. In addition, the cutting programs can be transferred to several machines, which further increases flexibility and efficiency.

An external program storage system (ESPV) is available for external cutting program management. The new version also offers the option of real im-age display (N PRO only) and a graphic display of the sheet (optional for N PLUS). The process visualization of the cutting sequence (optional for N PLUS) ensures that operation of the high-speed cutter is intuitive and sim-ple for every user.

The programming time on the high-speed cutter is completely eliminated, which leads to a considerable increase in productivity. In most cases, the amortization time is less than half a year, while the error rate is significant-ly reduced. Programs with process visualization make the high-speed cut-ter operable for everyone.

POLAR is proud to take another step towards efficiency and user-friendliness in the printing and cutting industry with the new Compucut® version.
