Heidelberg and Masterwork Collaborate on Postpress Products

Heidelberg, Kennesaw, Georgia, and Masterwork USA, Charlotte, North Carolina, have partnered to launch two new postpress products – the MK Duopress 106 FCSB and Powermatrix 106 CSB high-performance diecutter.

The Duopress 106 can hot foil, diecut, strip and blank in one pass, producing high-quality finishings in a short time. It improves productivity and makes quality control easier. It features two platen press sections working at 5,000sph with 1,060mm sheet size. The machine can run card paper with 90-2000 g/m2. Its ability to implement complex embossing and hot-foiling applications makes the MK Duopress ideal for both packaging and commercial printers.

The Powermatrix 106 offers short makeready time and integrated blanking function. It complements the existing Easymatrix 106 C/CS and Promatrix 106 CS diecutters and rounds off the upper end of the portfolio. It is ideal for short- to medium-production volumes and performs diecutting and embossing at a speed of 8,000 sheets/hr. The machine offers a wide range of standard features and user-friendly operation.
