        Book Automation, Inc. and Ultimate Tech Announce Strategic Collaboration to Automate Digital Book Production

        Book Automation, Inc., the North American branch office of Meccanotecnica Group, has entered into a non-exclusive reselling agreement with Ultimate Tech, a leader in imposition and finishing automation software. Under the terms of the agreement, Book Automation will offer Ultimate Tech’s software solutions, including Ultimate Impostrip® and Ultimate Bindery®, throughout the United States and Canada.

        This collaboration provides digital book manufacturers with a comprehensive, open and powerful software suite that integrates directly with Book Automation’s finishing systems. By linking advanced prepress and post-press tools with industrial-grade digitally connected binding technology, the partnership aims facilitate workflow integration and increase overall flexibility and production throughput.

        The collaboration specifically supports the Universe digital smyth-sewing series and multifunctional finishing lines, including the Proxima back gluing and back lining machine, Sirio perfect binder, and three-knife trimmer. This combined hardware and software system offers a turnkey solution, allowing customers to manage the entire workflow from initial file preparation to the final trimmed book within a unified, automated environment.

        The Ultimate Tech software solutions are best-in-class, agnostic and easy to connect to an existing production environment or workflow system. While these software tools are available as an optional enhancement for new equipment purchases, customers can integrated Ultimate Tech package to achieve higher levels of automation and JDF/JMF connectivity without any coding required. Customers implementing finishing automation can gain between 30 and 50% more productivity while increasing tracking capabilities and reducing printed material waste.
