IMPACK Announced Design Updates to GenieCut

Press release submitted on behalf of Impack.

IMPACK, Saint Jacques, Quebec, Canada, is pleased to announce design updates to the GenieCut In-line Window Patcher that improve reliability and Performance. The IMPACK GenieCut remains the benchmark in precision in-line window application for folder-gluers.

Proven Success and Enhanced Reliability
Originally developed by Jeff Shafer, the GenieCut features several patented innovations and represents a complete paradigm shift in window application for box packaging.  Launched in early 2018, the GenieCut was installed on 25 folder-gluers over five years, proving to be a game-changer for packaging producers. Seamless folder-gluer integration enabled packaging producers to expand their product offer to include windowed boxes without the need for a separate windowing workflow.

Following the acquisition in August 2023, our engineers reviewed the GenieCut design with the objective of bringing it up to IMPACK engineering standards. Subsequently, design modifications were made to standardize key components, increase reliability and ensure superior performance.  On February 09, 2024 the first GenieCut built at the IMPACK factory was shipped.

Unmatched Quality and Support
IMPACK is committed to supporting the GenieCut with comprehensive documentation, including a maintenance manual and parts catalogue, which will soon be released to assist users in maximizing the efficiency and longevity of their machines. Our technicians look forward to providing GenieCut users with the same level of service and support that clients have come to expect from IMPACK, ensuring smooth integration and operation.

Minimal Downtime
The GenieCut design utilizes a precision glue applicator, eliminating the work and time involved in producing stencils and cleaning a glue pot. The glue applicator is powered by a custom glue system by the same industry leading manufacturers that folder-gluer operators are already familiar with. The intuitive touchscreen control allows an infinite array of glue patterns to be generated and saved for instant recall.
