        Masterwork USA Duopress Takes Honors

        SUBMITTED

The MK21060STE, from Masterwork USA, is a double-station machine designed with a one-pass integrated system.

Masterwork USA, Inc., a manufacturer of folding carton and packaging equipment headquartered in Charlotte, NC, developed the MK21060STE Duopress to improve production and reduce downtime in the print and packaging industries. The double-station machine took was honored in the Postpress and Inline Finishing category during PRINT 13 in Chicago.

It was designed with a one-pass integrated system combining the platen through the embossing and foil stamping onto the diecutting and stripping functions. The two-platen system boasts a maximum output speed of 6,000 sheets per hour, but because multiple passes with two platens run at one time, users realize an output of 12,000 sheets per hour.

The company’s high-speed carton inspection machine – MK 420 MINI Q – also was honored. Masterwork USA is a subsidiary of Masterwork Machinery Co., Ltd., Tianjin, China.
