PRINT 13 Welcomes Return of Industry Optimism
PRINT 13, together with the co-located CPP EXPO, wrapped up its run at McCormick Place in Chicago on Sept. 12 with a feeling of optimism for the future. Ralph Nappi, president of the Graphic Arts Show Company, reported a “surprising number of deals were inked at the show,” pointing to a “sense of optimism” for the industry.
The energy and enthusiasm began to emerge at the pre-show Executive Outlook Conference held on Sept. 7. With the focus on “Driving Profits through Innovation, Integration and Communication,” this year’s program was the highest attended since 2005. When PRINT 13 and CPP EXPO kicked off officially the following day, exhibitors welcomed enthusiastic attendees to the show floor. By the time the final closing announcement had been made, vendors had been able to spend five days interacting with attendees from all segments of the graphic communications industry.
GASC now is verifying registration reports to provide an accurate and detailed summary of actual buyers and demographic data. This information will be released by Oct. 4.
