SGP Supplier Certification Criteria Public Review Period Extended

        September 15, 2020

The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), Sayville, New York, an authority in sustainable printing certifications for print manufacturers, has announced that the public review of the new SGP supplier certification is extended to Oct. 15, 2020, due to the COVID-19 situation.

The criteria for SGP supplier certification are similar to the criteria for SGP printers in that they specify the requirements for management and production operations that define sustainable practices encompassing the economics, environmental and social areas of sustainability. The draft criteria document, based on SGP’s successful printer certification efforts, defines the core elements of the SGP certification program, including development and adoption of a sustainability management system (SMS) and best practices.

During the public review, people have the opportunity to comment and suggest additions or revisions. The criteria document is on the SGP website. During the public comment phase, SGP is conducting an online survey about the SGP supplier certification.
