The Hofheimer Polar Group is under protective shield proceedings and will be reorganized and continued with all around 380 employees. The Polar Group includes Adolf Mohr Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, founded in 1906; Polar-Mohr Maschinenvertriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG and Dienst Verpackungstechnik GmbH, founded in 1988. Operational management and responsibility remain with these three companies under the protective umbrella.

The Frankfurt district court had previously initiated this court-supervised procedure at the request of the family business, which produces high-tech machines for the printing and packaging industry. Delivery bottlenecks for controls and other components for cutting machines, for which Polar Mohr is a world market leader, and other machines have recently led to production declines and sales slumps and threatened solvency.
