OnPrintShop Earns EDP Award 2026 Recognition for Practical AI in Print Commerce

Press release submitted on behalf of OnPrintShop

Artificial intelligence continues to reshape the printing industry, and one of the technologies recognized for advancing that transformation is Web-to-Print. The OnPrintShop W2P solution was awarded the EDP Award 2026 for Best Print Commerce Solution during FESPA Global Print Expo 2026.

The EDP Awards are organized by the European Digital Press Association and are widely regarded as one of the industry’s most respected technology recognitions. 2026 winners are selected through an independent evaluation process involving editors, consultants, engineers, and print technology specialists representing more than 20 European trade publications.

This year’s awards highlighted a significant trend across the print and packaging sectors: the emergence of intelligent automation powered by practical AI applications.

OnPrintShop’s recognition reflects its focus on integrating AI directly into everyday print commerce workflows. Rather than treating AI as a standalone capability, the platform embeds it into activities that affect storefront management, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Among the AI-driven tools available within the platform are automated product description generation, AI-powered image creation, storefront translation, image enhancement, and intelligent product recommendations. These capabilities help print businesses reduce manual tasks while accelerating online storefront deployment and catalog management.

The translation tools by the next-gen AI-backed web2print software enable businesses to localize storefronts into multiple languages, helping print providers expand into international markets without extensive content management efforts. AI image enhancement capabilities address common challenges associated with low-quality customer artwork, while recommendation engines help improve cross-selling opportunities.

Industry observers have noted that many print businesses are moving beyond experimental AI initiatives and seeking solutions that can provide immediate operational benefits. This shift aligns closely with the direction highlighted by the EDP Awards jury in 2026.

In its winners announcement, the EDP Association emphasized that automation is evolving beyond efficiency gains alone. Today’s leading technologies increasingly leverage data, intelligence, and workflow connectivity to create more adaptive production environments.

OnPrintShop’s platform combines these AI capabilities with broader web-to-print functionality, including workflow automation, online proofing, order management, design personalization, and integration with production systems.

The award serves as recognition of how AI is being applied in practical ways across the print industry. As businesses face ongoing pressure to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer experiences, technologies that successfully bridge innovation and usability are gaining greater industry attention.

The EDP Award 2026 highlights the growing role of intelligent software platforms in helping print businesses navigate an increasingly digital and automated future.

Print service providers interested in seeing how practical AI can improve storefront management and workflow efficiency can schedule a one-on-one demo with the OnPrintShop team.
