The event is the largest and most comprehensive packaging and processing show worldwide for 2024. According to show producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, the industry’s growth underscores the need for manufacturers to access innovative solutions tailored to their diverse needs. From sustainability initiatives to automation advancements and AI integration, businesses now more than ever seek a central hub to discover solutions, stay abreast of the latest topics and trends, and build impactful connections.

Anticipation is high for this year’s event, which is poised to surpass previous benchmarks. With over 2,500 exhibitors occupying 1.3 million net square feet, the show promises solutions catering to over 40 vertical markets. Expectations also forecast a convergence of more than 45,000 attendees from global consumer packaged goods and life sciences companies.

“We’re thrilled to be back in Chicago, offering an event to spotlight numerous solutions for an expanding market, complete with its distinct challenges,” expresses Jim Pittas, president & CEO of PMMI. “Every aspect showcased at our event is grounded in thorough research and listening to our members, ensuring we remain attuned to the evolving needs of our industry both now and in the future.”

Anticipated 2025 401(k) Contribution Limits: How Changes Benefit Business Owners

        August 7, 2024

By Joe Trybula, CFP®, QPFC®, ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY TM
Diversified Financial Advisors, LLC (Printers 401K)

As a financial advisor specializing in retirement programs, understanding the anticipated 2025 401(k) contribution limits is crucial for both employees and business owners. Let’s explore the projected changes and how they can benefit business owners in particular.

        Projected 2025 Limits

Based on recent trends and inflation adjustments, the 2025 401(k) contribution limits are expected to increase. While the official numbers are not yet released, we anticipate the following:

        • Individual Contribution Limit: Potentially rising to $23,000 or more
        • Catch-Up Contribution Limit: Likely increasing to around $8,000 for those 50 and older

        Benefits for Business Owners

Higher 401(k) contribution limits can offer several advantages to business owners, making it an opportune time to revisit retirement plan offerings and strategies.

        1. Attracting and Retaining Talent

A robust 401(k) plan with higher contribution limits can be a key differentiator in attracting and retaining top talent. Employees value strong retirement benefits, and increasing the contribution limits enhances the attractiveness of your retirement plan.

        2. Tax Advantages

Contributing to a 401(k) plan offers significant tax benefits. For business owners, higher contribution limits mean more substantial tax-deferred growth and potential tax deductions. This can reduce taxable income and provide immediate tax savings.

        3. Enhancing Employee Engagement

Offering competitive retirement benefits can boost employee morale and engagement. When employees see that their employer is investing in their future, it fosters loyalty and increases job satisfaction, leading to a more productive workforce.

        4. Personal Retirement Savings

As a business owner, you can also take advantage of the increased contribution limits for your personal retirement savings. Maximizing your contributions can enhance your financial security and ensure a comfortable retirement.

        Implementing Strategies

To make the most of the anticipated 2025 401(k) contribution limits, consider the following strategies:

        1. Review and Update Your Plan

Regularly review your 401(k) plan to ensure it remains competitive and meets the needs of your employees. Updating the plan to reflect the new contribution limits can make it more attractive and beneficial.

        2. Educate Employees

Educate your employees about the benefits of maximizing their 401(k) contributions. Providing resources and guidance can help them understand the advantages and encourage higher participation rates.

        3. Consider Employer Matching

Enhancing employer matching contributions can make your plan more appealing. Matching contributions not only benefit employees but also offer additional tax deductions for the business.

        Conclusion

The anticipated 2025 401(k) contribution limits present a valuable opportunity for business owners to enhance their retirement plans. By understanding and leveraging these changes, you can attract and retain talent, enjoy tax advantages, and improve overall employee engagement. Stay proactive to optimize your retirement strategy and secure a prosperous future for both your business and your employees.

Consolidated Printing, Inc., Chooses the Insignia7 Die Cutting System

        August 2, 2024

Press release submitted on behalf of Rollem International.

Consolidated Printing, Inc., located in Van Buren, Arkansas, is one of North America’s leading ticket, event pass, and ID card manufacturers, whose clients include some of the world’s most renowned names in sports and entertainment.

CPI has a long-time relationship with Rollem products, having invested in multiple Rollem TR Perforating and Scoring systems. During a Dscoop Edge Conference, the team was intrigued and impressed by the live Insignia demonstration Rollem’s Product Manager, Kevin Corwin, provided them.

Following a successful video-demo of CPI’s material(s) being die-cut on the Insignia in Rollem’s California office, Curtis Howells, Vice President at CPI, recognized that Insignia7’s larger format capacity of 30×24” would allow them to significantly increase productivity by maximizing space on their press sheets. Also significant to their decision was the ability to include embossing and perforating functions, along with many other Insignia functions, on their various products.

“We love our Insignia and could not be happier with its ease and functionality” states, Curtis Howells of Consolidated Printing. The quick change-over of the Insignia maximizes efficiency when running customizable die-cut event tickets, souvenir tickets, credentials, and parking passes with its quick simple operation.

Following the successful adoption of the Insignia die-cutter, CPI turned to Rollem once again for a solution to fold and glue their cosmetic and retail boxes. Rollem was able to install the 650M-3.5 converting unit to streamline the folding, gluing and finishing of their folding cartons, bringing valuable converting in-house. Curtis concludes, “Rollem has provided the best installation training and support we have ever had. We are very pleased with the operation, production and support we have received from Rollem’s team”.

Insignia’s functions include die-cutting, kiss-cutting, perforating, creasing, and embossing. The Insignia 7 model includes a top magnetic cylinder and a lower solid, hardened anvil cylinder, which allows for fast make-readies, only requiring minutes to change the cutting tool between jobs. IS7 is ideal for a wide range of substrates, handling sheets sizes up to 30×24”.

Rollem’s Insignia Series of Die-Cutters have been adopted by a variety of print providers across the U.S. and Internationally. With four model sizes available that complement most press sizes, each system includes the waste stripping section and a delivery table.
